Health and Safety Coordinator

About the role

The Health and Safety Coordinator provides essential support to senior HSE staff in maintaining a safe workshop environment. Working under supervision, the role ensures that company HSE policies are applied daily and that safety communications reach all personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Apply HSE procedures and workshop rules during daily activities.
• Conduct routine site checks covering PPE usage, housekeeping, tool condition, and work‑bay organization.
• Assist senior staff with risk assessments, hazard identification, and implementation of control measures.
• Support the organization of HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and short awareness sessions.
• Record incidents, near‑misses, spills, and equipment damage, and update incident logs.
• Perform visual inspections of fire extinguishers, hose reels, alarm panels, and emergency lighting; assist with fire drills.
• Maintain daily HSE records such as inspection checklists, training attendance, and action tracking sheets.
• Communicate HSE requirements to contractors and monitor their basic compliance.

Required profile

• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
• Attention to detail for identifying unsafe conditions and non‑compliance trends.
• Basic understanding of workshop operations and vehicle maintenance activities.
