Watchkeeper – Security Operations in Iraq

About the role

We are seeking experienced Watchkeepers to join our security team operating in Iraq. The position demands high situational awareness, strong communication, and the ability to work safely in hostile environments.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain security watch over operational areas in Iraq.
• Operate and manage radio equipment, ensuring clear and reliable communications.
• Coordinate with team members using established radio voice procedures.
• Report incidents and maintain accurate logs in accordance with operational protocols.
• Support the safe handling of firearms and adhere to security standards.

Required profile

• EU nationality.
• Minimum five years of watchkeeping experience in military, police, private security or diplomatic settings.
• Prior experience working in Iraq.
• Firearms‑trained.
• Rank of Senior Non‑Commissioned Officer or experienced Junior Non‑Commissioned Officer, or equivalent experience.
• English proficiency at C1 level or higher.

Required skills

• Proficient use of radio equipment and radio operating procedures.
• Familiarity with Iridium, Thuraya and GPS communication systems.
• Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel.
