Dental Technology Lab Instructor

About the role

The American University of Iraq, Baghdad (AUIB) seeks a motivated Dental Technology Lab Instructor to teach undergraduate and postgraduate students. You will deliver both theoretical and hands‑on laboratory courses, contribute to curriculum design, and foster research collaborations in dental technology and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Teach basic and advanced dental technology and dental hygiene courses, including laboratory sessions.
• Design and update modules to reflect the latest developments in the field.
• Lead multidisciplinary research projects, publish in reputable journals, and secure extramural funding.
• Develop and maintain state‑of‑the‑art testing and research laboratories.
• Organise and deliver continuous‑education programs for professionals in the region.
• Participate in assessment, committee work, and university service activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or higher) in Dental Technology or a closely related field from a reputable university.
• Post‑doctoral experience and at least 2 years of teaching at a recognized university.
• Strong commitment to continuous professional development and research.
• Excellent English communication skills and familiarity with the American higher‑education system.
• Effective interpersonal, planning, and organisational abilities.
