Senior Project Associate – Livelihoods

About the role

The Senior Project Associate will support the Livelihoods portfolio in Iraq, assisting the Program Coordinator in planning, implementing and monitoring livelihood activities across multiple governorates.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination and implementation of livelihoods activities in line with workplans, donor requirements and IOM policies.
• Provide day‑to‑day operational follow‑up, track implementation milestones and address delivery gaps.
• Guide field teams, conduct regular monitoring visits and coach staff on standard operating procedures.
• Assist with beneficiary targeting, verification and selection to ensure transparent and documented processes.
• Review field documentation, ensure completeness and compliance before submission.
• Collect, consolidate and report data from field teams, updating IOM information management systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Livelihoods or related field with at least five years of relevant experience, or a school diploma with seven years of experience.
• Experience supporting livelihoods, recovery or community stabilization programmes, including field‑level operational follow‑up and monitoring.
• Proven ability to work in complex or post‑conflict environments and coordinate with local authorities and partners.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Knowledge of data management, reporting tools and implementation tracking systems.
