RCF Technical and Field Coordination and Participant Support

About the role

Near East Foundation (NEF) is inviting qualified individuals to apply for an independent consultancy assignment in Anbar, Iraq, under the ProDIGI project. The consultant shares outreach and participant-support work with another Anbar Field Coordinator, covering an expected caseload of 40 to 50 participants. The assignment runs from 22 November 2026 to 30 June 2027, with travel to other project locations when agreed.

Key responsibilities

• Review about 10 new-cycle loan application files per month from Hope Pulse Foundation and Al-Hub Wa Al-Salam, check completeness against approved criteria and report findings without making lending decisions.
• Deliver the agreed outreach package with the other Field Coordinator, reaching prospective participants through local organizations and networks and preparing registration and consent records.
• Support cohorts and follow-up: prepare invitations and appointment schedules, confirm attendance, provide on-site support for events and arrange coaching appointments.
• Compile attendance, remote-learning records and assessments, and submit completion packs after each cohort.
• Coordinate activities and output reviews with NEF; no fixed office hours, routine attendance or line-management duties.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in development, social sciences, business administration or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated experience delivering portfolio reviews, participant-support activities or livelihoods field assignments.
• Knowledge of Anbar and experience coordinating with local organizations.
• Fluency in Arabic; working English is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong communication, planning and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to use spreadsheets and maintain accurate operational and financial records.
• Experience reviewing community-finance documentation and reporting findings is desirable.
