About the role
The Procurement Specialist supports daily purchasing activities for the organization in Erbil. You will source goods and services, obtain quotations, process purchase orders, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining compliance with company policies.
Key responsibilities
- Process purchase requisitions and create purchase orders according to established procedures.
- Obtain, evaluate, and select quotations from approved suppliers to achieve best value.
- Follow up on order approvals, supplier confirmations, and delivery schedules.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding availability, lead times, and shipment status.
- Assist in supplier registration and maintain required vendor documentation.
- Resolve routine procurement issues such as quality concerns, delays, or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure they are audit‑ready in both physical and electronic formats.
- Update procurement trackers, monitor request status, and support cost‑saving initiatives.
- Monitor market price trends and report significant changes to the Procurement Manager.
- Coordinate with warehouses and internal departments to ensure timely receipt of purchased items.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of procurement experience, preferably with international business entities.
- Fluency in Kurdish, Arabic, and English.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management.
Required skills
- Experience with ERP systems and procurement software such as SAP.
- Familiarity with Odoo or similar procurement platforms.
