Pro. Technician - Day Shift

About the role

SAS- Lexus is hiring a Pro. Technician for its day-shift position in Baghdad. The technician performs routine automotive maintenance, quick repairs and complex mechanical repairs, runs full diagnostics to find the root cause of vehicle problems and recommends suitable repairs while following Toyota quality standards and dealership procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify mechanical, electrical and electronic issues in vehicles.
• Carry out repairs such as engine, brake, transmission, suspension and electrical system work.
• Replace parts with genuine Toyota parts and test repairs against quality standards.
• Document work done, parts used and labour hours according to dealership procedures.
• Explain repair needs, estimated costs and timelines to customers and work with service advisors and parts staff.
• Keep up with new technologies and tools through training and follow workshop safety rules.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or diploma in Automotive Technology, Automotive Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in automotive maintenance and repair; experience in an authorized dealership is preferred.
• Intermediate English to read technical manuals and diagnostic codes.

Required skills

• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and electronic systems.
• Knowledge of engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension and steering systems.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and follow manufacturer repair procedures.
