Personal Protection Officer

About the role

The Personal Protection Officer (PPO) provides comprehensive protective security and operational support in a high‑threat environment at Balad Air Base, Iraq. The role ensures the safety, secure movement, and situational awareness of designated personnel while supporting broader installation security operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide close protection and general security support for designated personnel, ensuring safe movement and situational awareness.
• Conduct protective movements on foot or by vehicle, maintaining security positioning during travel and site operations.
• Support access control, screening, identification verification, and perimeter security activities.
• Respond immediately to security incidents, alarms, emergencies, and hostile or suspicious activity.
• Serve as a member of a Quick Reaction Force (QRF) or Emergency Response Team (ERT) when assigned.
• Maintain readiness of weapons, communications devices, vehicles, and protective gear.
• Prepare accurate written reports, incident documentation, and operational logs.
• Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and client personnel to ensure mission success.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with a valid U.S. passport.
• Minimum three years of experience in military, law enforcement, executive protection, or high‑risk security operations.
• At least one year of experience in close or dignitary protection.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Eligibility to meet all physical fitness, medical, and deployment requirements.
