Finance Officer

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site Finance Officer position in Baghdad supports the organization’s financial health and regulatory compliance. The role involves preparing, reviewing and analysing financial statements, managing daily accounting entries and providing financial insights to internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and analyse monthly and annual financial statements.
• Manage day‑to‑day accounting entries, account reconciliations, payments and receipts.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities and internal/external reporting.
• Coordinate with auditors and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.
• Maintain organized financial records and recommend process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Professional certification (CPA, CMA or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical ability and high attention to detail.
• Proven integrity and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
