Education Specialist (P-3) – Full Time

About the role

Under the guidance of the Chief, Education (P‑4), the Education Specialist (P‑3) will support the design, implementation and monitoring of education programmes within the Iraq Country Programme (2025‑2029). The role focuses on strengthening the education system, promoting inclusive and equitable learning, and building capacity for climate education.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, implement, monitor, evaluate and report on education projects and activities.
• Provide technical guidance for Output 1 – Education System Strengthening.
• Coordinate with government, NGOs and UN partners to ensure alignment with national priorities.
• Support the development of inclusive curricula and climate‑education initiatives.
• Prepare regular progress reports and contribute to programme reviews.

Required profile

• University degree in Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies or a related field.
• Relevant experience in education programme management, preferably in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Knowledge of inclusive education, equity strategies and climate‑education concepts.
• Ability to work effectively in Iraq and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
