Driver – Safe Transportation & Administrative Support

About the role

The Driver is responsible for the safe and reliable transportation of authorized personnel, cargo and hazardous goods as required. The role also includes routine vehicle maintenance, accident response, and providing administrative and facility support to ensure smooth operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe, timely transport of staff, cargo and hazardous items, including airport pick‑ups and customs assistance.
• Collect and deliver mail, documents and other items.
• Maintain accurate daily vehicle logs and support maintenance planning.
• Perform routine vehicle checks, minor repairs and coordinate major repairs.
• Keep vehicles clean, roadworthy and ensure all required documents and supplies are available.
• Respond to accidents in line with organisational procedures.
• Assist with procurement of office supplies, inventory management and minor facility repairs.
• Support facility management by liaising with service providers and monitoring equipment performance.

Required profile

• Secondary school with at least 2 years relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree with no experience required.
• Valid driver’s licence and formal driver’s training.
• Experience in safe and defensive driving, minor vehicle repair and UN operations in Iraq.
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.
