Corporate Lawyer – Legal Representation & Advisory

About the role

The Sardar Group is seeking a qualified Lawyer to provide comprehensive legal representation, advice and support to all its companies operating in the Kurdistan Region. The role involves handling civil, labor, criminal and investigative matters, as well as liaising with government directorates and regulatory bodies.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the Group in civil, labor, criminal and investigative cases before courts and investigative authorities.
• Monitor court decisions at all levels (first instance, appeal, cassation) and prepare regular status reports for management.
• Provide legal counsel to all Group entities on an as‑needed basis.
• Assist in company formation, branch openings, and the registration of trade names and trademarks with relevant ministries.
• Support interactions with ministries, traffic directorates, municipalities, tax and investment departments.
• Facilitate legal support for foreign employees, including driver’s licence issuance and renewal.
• Maintain and archive official correspondence, letters and legal documents.
• Assist internal departments (HR, Admin, IT, Finance, Transportation, Taxes) when legal representation is required.
• Handle renewal of traffic licences, Chamber of Commerce memberships and other business identification documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law.
• Proven experience in legal representation, counseling and dealing with government directorates.
• Fluency in Kurdish, English and Arabic.
