Chief Operating Officer - CEID

About the role

The Chief Operating Officer will serve as the second‑in‑command to the CEO at the Center of Excellence for Innovation and Development, overseeing day‑to‑day operations and driving long‑term growth. The role focuses on expanding revenue, building strategic partnerships, and ensuring the centre remains competitive in soft‑skill training and global‑economy preparedness for executives, mid‑career professionals, and entry‑level talent.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the CEO to define and execute the centre’s strategic vision, growth initiatives, and market positioning.
• Identify and secure partnerships with globally recognized training providers to enhance programme offerings.
• Oversee daily operations across program development, partnerships, student services, and administration, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
• Develop and manage budgets, financial planning, and analysis to maintain financial health and regulatory compliance.
• Review departmental performance metrics, set goals with heads of departments, and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience inspiring and managing cross‑functional teams.
• Strategic thinker capable of adapting plans to market changes.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and financial analysis.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Minimum a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Education Administration, or related field; PhD or advanced degree preferred.
• 8–10 years of progressive leadership experience, preferably in higher education or education management; executive‑level operational experience is a plus.
