Business Unit Manager - Pharmacy Line

About the role

Pioneer Pharma is looking for a Business Unit Manager for its Pharmacy Line. The manager develops, manages and grows the pharmacy business unit by achieving sales and profitability targets, building effective marketing strategies, leading the sales team and strengthening relationships with pharmacies and key customers. The role aims to maximize product performance, increase market share and expand distribution coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the annual business plan and commercial strategy, set sales targets and growth objectives, identify new opportunities and prepare budgets while monitoring performance.
• Lead the pharmacy sales team, set targets, monitor KPIs, run field visits and build relationships with pharmacy chains, independent pharmacies and wholesalers.
• Develop marketing plans and promotions, manage product positioning and brand development, coordinate with the marketing team and ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulations.
• Manage the budget and operating expenses, monitor sales, gross profit and profitability, coordinate with supply chain and prepare monthly and quarterly performance reports.
• Recruit, train, coach and evaluate the sales team, establish KPIs and improve productivity.
• Work with Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Finance and SFE, and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar pharmaceutical management position.
• Proven experience managing sales teams and achieving business targets.
• Good understanding of the Iraqi pharmaceutical market and pharmacy channel.
• Experience in business planning, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
