Warehouseman / MHE Operator – Logistics Support

About the role

The Warehouseman/MHE Operator provides essential support to warehousing and distribution missions in Southwest Asia. You will safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, transport, and stage equipment, ensuring continuous logistics support for sustainment operations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment (MHE) safely in accordance with certification and regulatory requirements.
• Assist stock clerks with equipment selection, issue, receipt, and turn‑in processes.
• Receive incoming cargo, verify manifests and turn‑in forms, and perform loading/unloading of shipments.
• Transport and store equipment according to warehouse layout and assigned locations.
• Conduct daily preventive maintenance checks on forklifts and government‑furnished equipment.
• Provide customer service support to units and personnel, including equipment staging and accountability.
• Prepare documentation, labeling, and cargo for movement while ensuring compliance with OSHA, DoD, Army, and host‑nation safety standards.
• Participate in safe handling and storage of HAZMAT as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned in a dynamic indoor/outdoor environment.

Required profile

• High school diploma (or equivalent) with at least 6 years related logistics experience.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Minimum six months of experience operating forklifts or MHE in military or civilian settings.
• Proficiency in English (reading and speaking).
• Knowledge of forklift operation, safety procedures, and equipment maintenance.
• Physical ability to lift up to 70 lb and perform prolonged standing, sitting, climbing, and stooping.
