Tailor – Full-time On-site Position

About the role

The Tailor will work full-time on-site at our clothing store, creating and altering comfortable home-wear garments. You will interact directly with customers to ensure perfect fit and satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Design, cut, and sew a variety of home-wear garments.
• Measure customers, conduct fittings, and adjust patterns.
• Perform alterations and repairs to meet quality standards.
• Provide style and fabric recommendations to customers.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and care for sewing equipment.
• Collaborate with store staff to meet order deadlines.

Required profile

• Proven dressmaking and tailoring abilities, including cutting, sewing, pattern adjustment and garment construction.
• Strong fitting and customer-service skills to take accurate measurements and handle requests professionally.
• Clear communication for discussing designs, timelines and garment care.
• Basic knowledge of fabrics, threads and finishing techniques.
• Prior experience as a tailor or in a similar alteration role is preferred.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and operate sewing machines safely.
• Reliability, punctuality and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
