Strategic Technical Advisor – Knowledge and Learning Management

About the role

The World Food Programme (WFP) in Iraq is seeking a Strategic Technical Advisor to lead knowledge and learning management initiatives. This is a remote, home‑based consultancy delivering results between 21 June 2026 and 20 March 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a knowledge management strategy aligned with WFP’s social protection programmes in Iraq.
• Design and oversee learning management processes to capture, share, and institutionalise best practices.
• Provide technical guidance to WFP staff and partners on knowledge capture, documentation and dissemination.
• Produce deliverables as defined in the Terms of Reference, ensuring quality and timeliness.
• Coordinate with Stars Orbit Consultants and Management Development (SOC) for contract and reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Relevant advanced degree or equivalent professional experience in knowledge management, learning and development, or related fields.
• Proven experience in designing and managing knowledge or learning systems within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and deliver results on a time‑bound contract.
