Service Sales Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Service Sales Engineer to drive service sales growth within the energy sector. Working closely with the Service Sales Manager, you will generate opportunities, secure profitable sales and deliver value‑added solutions to our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new service sales opportunities in assigned territories and customer segments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, understanding their operational challenges and strategic goals.
• Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals, presentations and demonstrations of Hitachi’s service portfolio.
• Negotiate and close service agreements aligned with company targets and customer expectations.
• Conduct technical assessments and provide expert consultation on maintenance, support, upgrades and managed services.
• Collaborate with internal technical and product teams to customize service offerings and ensure technical feasibility.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline progress and forecasts using CRM systems.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities and technological advancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• 4–8 years of experience in service sales, technical sales or field engineering within industrial manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of industrial systems, IT infrastructure and Hitachi product offerings.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Familiarity with service level agreements (SLAs) and service delivery models.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
