Salesperson – Business Development in Baghdad

About the role

KAR Business Growth Company is seeking a full‑time Salesperson to drive commercial growth in Baghdad and surrounding areas. You will be the primary point of contact for prospective clients, guiding them from initial interest through to contract signing.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and engage potential customers through in‑person and phone meetings.
• Present company products and services, prepare proposals and quotations.
• Maintain accurate records of activities and pipeline in the CRM system.
• Follow up on leads promptly to ensure timely responses.
• Build and nurture long‑term relationships with clients, understanding their business needs.
• Collaborate with marketing, operations and customer‑service teams to ensure reliable service delivery.
• Meet or exceed defined sales targets and provide regular performance reports.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales, business development or a customer‑facing role, preferably in a commercial or services environment.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities, with a clear, trustworthy presentation style.
• Ability to plan, organise and manage multiple opportunities through a structured sales process.
• Comfort working on‑site in Baghdad and representing the company professionally.
• Results‑oriented mindset focused on meeting targets and adapting quickly to changing customer needs.
• Collaborative attitude and willingness to work closely with cross‑functional colleagues.
• Relevant education in business, marketing or a related field is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with office software (e.g., spreadsheets).
• Experience using CRM systems to track sales activities.
