About the role
AUGT is looking for a motivated Sales Engineer to join its Safety Technology Products team in Erbil. The role combines technical expertise in gas detection and safety equipment with a strong sales focus, targeting industrial and oil‑&‑gas clients across the Kurdistan Region.
Key responsibilities
- Promote and sell gas detection equipment and safety solutions.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market presence.
- Conduct product presentations and technical demonstrations.
- Prepare sales proposals and follow up with clients.
- Maintain strong, long‑term customer relationships.
- Achieve assigned sales targets and report market activities.
- Coordinate with technical and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Travel extensively within assigned regions.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, or Technical Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience, preferably in industrial, safety, or oil & gas sectors.
- Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Self‑motivated, target‑oriented and customer‑focused.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the Kurdistan Region.
- Knowledge of the Kurdistan Region market, especially oil & gas and industrial clients.
- Proficiency in Kurdish and Arabic; English is an advantage.
- Previous experience working with clients or projects in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
