Public Relations Manager – Basra, Iraq

About the role

AntonAnton Oilfield Services Group is seeking a Public Relations Manager for its On‑Sync Energy Management Services Company in Basra, Iraq. The role will lead external communications, develop government and community relationships, and protect the company’s reputation within a fast‑changing energy sector.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and expand relationships with Iraqi government entities, state‑owned oil companies, industry associations, and local communities to support policy coordination, compliance, and approval processes.
• Lead corporate branding and external public‑relations initiatives in Iraq to strengthen market presence and corporate image.
• Monitor public opinion and reputational risks, managing crisis communication and emergency response activities.
• Act as a communication bridge between headquarters and local authorities, stakeholders, and communities to ensure effective cross‑cultural coordination and project execution.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to support smooth business operations and strategic partnerships within Iraq.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Public Relations, Communications, International Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in public relations, government relations, or corporate communications, preferably within the energy industry or multinational companies.
• Strong understanding of Iraq’s energy policies, regulatory environment, and stakeholder‑engagement practices; existing local networks are an advantage.
• Native Arabic speaker with fluent English communication skills; Chinese language proficiency is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship‑management, and crisis‑management capabilities.
