IT Service Layer Integration Senior Specialist

About the role

Zain Iraq is seeking an IT Service Layer Integration Senior Specialist to lead the design, implementation, and support of integration solutions across the organization. The role ensures that technology services meet high standards, support business objectives, and maintain a secure and efficient IT environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into detailed integration specifications.
• Design service architecture, interface requirements and develop scripts/configurations at application and database levels.
• Provide L1, L2 and L3 support for integration systems, handling troubleshooting, incident escalation and vendor coordination.
• Design and execute test cases, perform unit, integration and system testing, and manage defect resolution.
• Monitor system health, performance and capacity; generate regular performance and KPI reports.
• Maintain up‑to‑date technical documentation and ensure compliance with security, data‑privacy and regulatory standards.
• Identify automation opportunities, research emerging technologies (microservices, API gateways, cloud‑native integration) and recommend enhancements.
• Manage end‑to‑end implementation, coordinate releases and work with vendors and internal teams for smooth deployment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of hands‑on experience with the Laravel framework.
• Strong understanding of SQL queries, database design and web technologies.
• Proficiency with Linux environments and basic knowledge of web servers (e.g., Nginx) and networking.
