Interpreter (Arabic, English, French)

About the role

Shams TV is seeking a full‑time interpreter to support its live broadcasts, newsroom operations, interviews, and productions. The successful candidate will provide high‑quality interpretation and translation between Arabic, English, and French, ensuring clear communication across all media activities.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret accurately between Arabic, English, and French during meetings, interviews, productions, press coverage, and live feeds.
• Translate written documents, scripts, reports, and correspondence among the three languages.
• Support live broadcasts and breaking‑news coverage with real‑time interpretation under tight deadlines.
• Assist with additional language and communication tasks as required by the team.

Required profile

• Fluency in Arabic, English, and French (mandatory).
• Proven ability to interpret and translate confidently in all language combinations.
• Previous experience in interpretation, translation, broadcasting, journalism, or media environments (strongly preferred).
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly in fast‑paced live broadcasting settings.
• Flexibility to handle breaking‑news coverage, live events, and urgent assignments.
• A degree in Translation, Interpretation, Languages, Media, or a related field is an advantage.
