Instrument & Telecom Superintendent

About the role

We are looking for an Instrument & Telecom Superintendent to lead the instrumentation and telecommunications discipline on our project in Nasiriyah, Iraq. The role involves supervising field personnel, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining safety standards throughout the construction phase.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all field personnel of the instrumentation and telecom discipline to achieve project completion on schedule and to original specifications.
• Maintain the construction schedule, identify and solve problems, order materials, and schedule inspections as needed.
• Monitor daily construction details, progress, and prepare schedules for final punch‑list completion.
• Oversee work package implementation from approval through close‑out and post‑maintenance testing.
• Enforce the highest quality standards and safe construction practices on‑site.
• Promote job‑site safety, participate in HSE meetings, toolbox talks, and daily walks, and keep meticulous records.
• Prepare reports and forecasts related to construction progress and manpower.
• Monitor subcontractor activities for compliance with specifications, safety, quality, productivity, schedule, and cost, providing solutions as required.
• Control, preserve, and issue material handed over to subcontractors.
• Coach and mentor less‑experienced staff.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising field personnel on construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety practices and HSE procedures.
• Ability to monitor and coordinate subcontractor performance.
• Experience preparing progress reports and manpower forecasts.
• Capability to manage material control and work package close‑out.
