HSE Supervisor (Basra, Iraq)

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced HSE Supervisor to join its Iraq Business Unit in Basra. The role serves as the frontline representative for Health, Safety and Environment on site, ensuring full compliance with company policies, regulatory standards and industry best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary HSE point of contact on the project site.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with all relevant HSE regulations and Wood’s internal policies.
• Support the fast‑track project phases, including restoration, upgrade and new pipeline construction.
• Coordinate HSE activities with engineering, procurement and construction teams.
• Travel as required to project locations.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HSE Supervisor in large‑scale industrial projects.
• Ability to work onsite in Basra and travel to project sites.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
