GIS Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled GIS Engineer to develop, manage, and maintain geographic databases that support infrastructure, road, and bridge projects. The role combines advanced spatial analysis, cartographic production, and integration of field data to ensure high‑quality GIS deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and maintain geographic databases using ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, and QGIS.
• Perform advanced spatial analyses such as hydrological, terrain, and surface modeling with Spatial Analyst tools.
• Create professional cartographic outputs with proper symbology, legends, scale bars, and coordinate grids.
• Define and enforce geodatabase topology rules to guarantee data integrity.
• Digitize, edit, and convert paper maps into accurate digital formats.
• Organize large volumes of geographic and attribute data, ensuring proper linking and storage.
• Operate GPS devices for field surveying and integrate collected data into GIS platforms.
• Provide GIS‑based mapping and reporting support to infrastructure operations rooms.
• Integrate AutoCAD engineering drawings with GIS workflows.
• Prepare and present data‑driven reports using advanced Microsoft Office tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS Pro, QGIS) are a plus.
• Proven experience in spatial analysis, especially hydrological and terrain modeling.
• Strong understanding of geodatabases, topology rules, and data quality assurance.
• Experience digitizing maps with high accuracy and handling GPS field data.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD integration and advanced Microsoft Office reporting.
