Freight Operations Manager

About the role

Aramex is seeking a proactive Freight Operations Manager to act as the primary point of contact for clients with freight inquiries. You will strengthen client relationships, deliver customized freight solutions, and support the sales team in winning new business.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to drive loyalty and retention.
• Negotiate competitive rates with carriers, agents and offices to secure the best pricing.
• Manage shipments from quotation to delivery, ensuring compliance with HSSE, sustainability and corporate policies.
• Provide market intelligence, product statistics and profitability reports to the Station Manager and Country Manager.
• Train and coach CMT members and new hires on product knowledge and sales techniques.
• Facilitate communication between CMTs and Operations teams to resolve operational issues.
• Share updated sales and pricing lists, special discounts and campaign information with the team.
• Participate in exhibitions, customer visits and tender processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
• 3‑5 years of experience in air freight forwarding, with a solid understanding of global trade lanes.
• Proven customer‑service background and experience managing key business clients.
• Strong written communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.

Required skills

• Familiarity with CargoWise freight management system.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
