Financial Analyst

About the role

The Finance team is looking for a proactive Financial Analyst to support business growth in Baghdad. You will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, inventory control, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor budgets, latest estimates, and month‑end closing activities.
• Manage receivables, coordinate collections, and reconcile sales with distributors quarterly.
• Record commercial invoices, reconcile AR entries, and handle bookkeeping, taxes (WHT, income tax, social security) and local financial statements.
• Investigate COGS variances, perform inventory reconciliations, and manage the TMS cycle up to gross profit.
• Conduct volume‑mix, price, and profitability analyses at brand and SKU level.
• Prepare and review distributor P&L statements and support OPEX tracking against benchmarks.
• Collaborate with Finance Manager on budget exercises and assist in management presentation decks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; CMA or CPA a plus.
• 2‑4 years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or related areas.
• Residency in Baghdad and full‑time availability.
• Strong analytical, decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent in English and Arabic, both spoken and written.
