Electrical Supervisor

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join its Iraq Business Unit. The role is based on‑site in Basra and focuses on receiving, verifying and ensuring that all electrical equipment complies with project specifications and standards. Travel may be required as part of project activities.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and inspect all electrical equipment delivered to the site.
• Verify conformity of equipment with project specifications, standards and legal requirements.
• Coordinate with procurement, engineering and construction teams to support the Phase 1 plant upgrade and new infrastructure development.
• Maintain safety, cost‑efficiency and high‑quality standards throughout all electrical activities.
• Assist in construction, commissioning and hand‑over processes as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor on large‑scale industrial or oil‑and‑gas projects.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and legal aspects related to electrical works.
• Ability to work on‑site full‑time and travel when needed.
