Control System Technician – Gas Field Operations

About the role

We are looking for a Control System Technician to join the SIBA CPF Operation and Maintenance team in Basra, Iraq. The role focuses on ensuring the reliability and performance of gas field control systems, supporting our commitment to safe and efficient energy production.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance, troubleshooting and debugging of gas field control systems to guarantee stable operations.
• Monitor system performance, detect abnormalities and keep accurate operational and maintenance records.
• Diagnose and resolve control system faults promptly to minimise production disruptions.
• Collaborate with technical and operational teams on system upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Automation, Control Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in gas field control system maintenance and debugging, preferably in Iraq or the Middle East.
• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and documentation.
