Biomedical Technician

About the role

The Biomedical Technician will work full‑time on‑site in Nasiriyah, installing, calibrating and maintaining medical equipment used in both hospital and home‑care settings. The role ensures that devices operate safely and reliably, supporting patient comfort and clinical efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on a range of medical devices.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and carry out repairs according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Document all service activities to meet company and regulatory standards.
• Train clinical staff on proper equipment use and support device selection and evaluation.
• Follow electrical safety protocols and coordinate with vendors to minimise downtime.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics or a related field.
• Practical experience working with medical equipment in a clinical environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and manufacturer documentation.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple service requests.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with clinical staff, vendors and internal teams.
