Vascular Surgeon

About the role

The hospital in Karbala is seeking a Specialist Vascular Surgeon to join its on‑site team on a full‑time basis. You will diagnose, treat and manage a broad spectrum of arterial, venous and lymphatic disorders, providing life‑saving care to patients in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform complex open vascular surgeries, including arterial reconstructions and bypass procedures.
• Conduct advanced endovascular interventions such as angioplasty, stenting and embolisation.
• Run outpatient vascular clinics, evaluating patients and planning long‑term management.
• Collaborate closely with radiology, cardiology, intensive care and other specialties to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document procedures and outcomes accurately and communicate findings to the clinical team.

Required profile

• Board certification or fellowship in Vascular Surgery (Arab Board, Iraqi Board, FRCS or equivalent).
• 3–5 years of post‑certification clinical experience in vascular surgery.
• Proven technical mastery of both open and endovascular techniques.
• Ability to make rapid clinical decisions in emergency situations.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
