User Experience Designer

About the role

Enjaz's GIS Department is looking for a UI/UX Designer to own the end‑to‑end experience of several map‑centric products, including a merchant‑discovery mini‑app inside the SuperQi wallet and a data‑dense analytics portal.

Key responsibilities

• Design mobile‑first experiences for the SuperQi mini‑app, covering merchant discovery, search, ranking, offers and directions on mid‑range Android devices.
• Create data‑rich executive dashboards for the QiMAP admin portal with heatmaps, filters and drill‑down tables.
• Design bilingual Arabic (RTL) and English (LTR) interfaces for the Iraq Post/MOC digital suite, including website, shop checkout, operations console and warehouse flows.
• Build and maintain a Figma design system covering tokens, components, iconography and map styling aligned with brand guidelines.
• Define all UI states (loading, error, offline, onboarding) and ensure WCAG AA accessibility.
• Conduct lightweight research and usability testing, translate findings into design improvements, and provide hand‑off specifications for engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience designing shipped web and mobile products with a portfolio showing end‑to‑end work.
• Fluency in Arabic and strong working English; design files and specifications must be in English.

Required skills

• Expert proficiency in Figma (components, variants, auto‑layout, prototyping).
• Hands‑on experience with MapLibre GL, Leaflet, vanilla JavaScript and Django templates.
• Strong knowledge of HTML/CSS and responsive layout constraints within WebView environments.
• Experience designing Arabic/RTL interfaces alongside English.
• Understanding of WCAG AA accessibility standards.
