Transportation Coordinator – Onsite

About the role

The Transportation Coordinator will plan, coordinate and control daily movement of personnel, materials and equipment at the Majnoon Oil Field. The role ensures all journeys comply with client journey‑management and road‑safety requirements and that transport services are delivered on time.

Key responsibilities

• Issue daily transport schedules for staff, shift buses and light vehicles between Basra, accommodation and field locations.
• Coordinate movement of materials and equipment with warehouse, maintenance and operations sections.
• Apply journey‑management rules: receive trip requests, obtain approvals, plan routes, track check‑in/out and escalate overdue vehicles.
• Verify vehicle and driver compliance before dispatch, including pre‑trip inspections and valid licences.
• Monitor performance of transport service providers, vehicle allocation, driver attendance and utilisation.
• Prepare and submit transport records, usage sheets and weekly/monthly performance reports.
• Support emergency response plans for medical evacuation and field evacuations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in transport, logistics or site coordination, preferably in oil & gas or large construction sites.
• Valid Iraqi driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Excel, Outlook and Word for schedule and tracker creation.
• Working knowledge of journey management, road safety and vehicle inspection practices.
• Experience with fleet tracking systems (advantageous).
