Team Member / Deputy Team Leader / 2IC

About the role

Control Risks is seeking experienced security professionals to act as Team Member, Deputy Team Leader or 2IC in high‑risk environments in Basrah, Iraq. The role involves providing armed or non‑armed protection for client contracts, maintaining a low‑profile approach and ensuring compliance with company SOPs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle and dismounted contact drills, navigation, and route recon, producing detailed reports.
• Issue orders, brief clients, and command the team in line with Rules of Engagement and SOPs.
• Maintain equipment, vehicle upkeep, and administrative records, including risk assessments and operational planning.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of military or police experience with at least 6 months operational deployment.
• Fluent English speaker and writer, available for short‑notice deployment.
• Valid SIA Frontline Close Protection Licence and relevant FPOS/FREC certifications.

Required skills

• Navigation skills: map‑reading, compass, GPS usage.
• Vehicle‑mounted and handheld communications operation.
• Close protection certifications: BTEC Level 3 CP, FPOSi Level 3 (or 4), FREC Level 3.
