Student Recruitment Coordinator

About the role

American University of Iraq—Baghdad is seeking a dynamic, service‑oriented Recruitment Coordinator to support enrollment goals through recruitment events, prospective‑student engagement, and outreach activities. The role involves coordinating initiatives, responding to admissions inquiries, building stakeholder relationships, and maintaining accurate engagement records.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop and coordinate recruitment events aligned with enrollment priorities.
• Deliver assigned events in partnership with the Marketing & Communications team.
• Establish and strengthen relationships with internal teams and external partners.
• Respond to prospective student and visitor inquiries with accurate admissions information.
• Represent the university professionally, document interactions and collect data for reporting.

• Effective communication and teamwork with colleagues, students and external stakeholders.
• Practical problem‑solving and sound decision‑making in recruitment activities.
• Strong organization and time‑management, handling multiple priorities.
• Adaptability to changing priorities, event requirements and travel needs.
• Project coordination skills to manage activities, stakeholders and timelines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
