Senior Petroleum Engineer

About the role

The Senior Petroleum Engineer will provide expert consultation on complex technical and administrative challenges within the oil and gas sector. Reporting to senior management, the role supports decision‑making, risk management and long‑term strategic improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead studies and analyses to identify opportunities, resolve technical and commercial issues, and develop actionable recommendations.
• Coordinate data gathering, analysis and reporting across all directorates and present final proposals to management.
• Consult on emerging technologies, new processes and risk‑management practices to enhance operational performance.
• Mentor and coach staff, fostering technical competence and behavioral development.
• Ensure compliance with HSEMS regulations and company standards throughout all activities.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related scientific field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in petroleum engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical problem‑solving and leadership abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
