Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The role involves managing day‑to‑day accounting activities, supporting month‑end and year‑end closings, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain journal entries for sales, purchases, expenses, petty cash, accruals, and adjustments.
• Maintain General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable ledgers.
• Process customer invoices, supplier bills, payment vouchers, and related transactions.
• Prepare and monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Assist with monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Manage petty cash transactions with proper documentation.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Prepare financial reports, trial balances, and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Provide ad‑hoc financial analyses and identify process improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Fluent in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Competent use of Microsoft Office applications.
