About the role
The Procurement Manager will lead the sourcing and purchasing activities for consumables, ensuring compliance with internal policies and delivering optimal cost‑quality outcomes for the Bank. This role involves developing vendor relationships, negotiating agreements, and contributing to strategic procurement planning.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with PAPs and internal procurement standards.
- Select and develop consumables vendors according to defined criteria.
- Review vendor profiles and offerings, creating shortlists based on the Bank’s standards.
- Review and validate RFP/RFQ/RFI submissions to ensure they meet internal guidelines and provide the best quality‑cost ratio.
- Negotiate purchasing agreements that minimize cost while meeting procurement requirements.
- Build and maintain long‑term, beneficial relationships with vendors, including regional agreements.
- Monitor vendor performance and after‑sale service to ensure compliance with agreed standards.
- Develop and implement short‑ and long‑term procurement strategies to reduce costs and improve quality and service.
- Participate in procurement committees and perform any other tasks assigned by the Head of RCM.
Required profile
- B.Sc. degree in management or a related field from a recognized university.
- Over 8 years of experience in procurement.
- Fluent in English and Arabic.
- Proven negotiation skills.
- Strong computer skills.
