Presales Engineer

About the role

The Presales Engineer at Onyxes Technologies works closely with the sales team to craft competitive proposals that meet client requirements while staying within budget. The role focuses on designing, documenting, and presenting technical solutions for IT infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse customer needs, identify pain points, and propose tailored IT infrastructure solutions.
• Prepare detailed technical responses to RFPs and RFIs, ensuring alignment with commercial and technical specifications.
• Design and document solutions involving servers, storage, networking, and virtualization technologies.
• Collaborate with sales, technical engineers, vendors, and distributors to align pre‑sales activities with business objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and distributors.
• Address technical inquiries and objections raised by clients during the proposal phase.
• Coordinate with internal teams to review, validate, and finalize solution designs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a pre‑sales engineering or technical consulting role within the IT industry.
• Strong background in IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business value.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
