Operations Section Head

About the role

The Operations Section Head will lead overall plant production and operations, ensuring safe, stable and compliant performance in line with company and client standards. This senior position oversees daily execution, team administration and coordinates commissioning, start‑up and emergency response activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead plant production and day‑to‑day operations management.
• Ensure stable, safe and regulatory‑compliant plant operation.
• Oversee workforce training, competency assessment and development programmes.
• Coordinate commissioning, start‑up, normal operation and emergency response.
• Enforce ISSOW, PTW and all site safety protocols.
• Manage complex work such as flange management, ESRs and small‑bore tubing activities.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of oil & gas plant operations experience in challenging environments.
• Internationally recognised qualifications (NVQ, C&G, OPITO or equivalent).
• Valid emergency response competency certification and driving licence.
• Proven experience with CMMS / SAP systems.
• Strong background in coaching, mentoring and competency assessment.
• Excellent command of English; Arabic is a plus.
