National Consultant – Data Analysis for Teenage Mothers (Remote)

About the role

UNICEF Iraq is seeking a national consultant to lead the evidence generation and data analysis for the Teenage Mothers Assessment. The role will support evidence‑based programming and policy dialogue for vulnerable adolescent mothers in Iraq.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyse quantitative and qualitative data from the Teenage Mothers Assessment.
• Identify key findings, trends, vulnerabilities and service gaps affecting teenage mothers.
• Prepare clear, concise reports and presentations for diverse audiences, including government and development partners.
• Conduct trainings and capacity‑building sessions on data collection, analysis and evidence utilisation for government counterparts.
• Collaborate with UNICEF, NGOs and other stakeholders to ensure findings inform policy and programme design.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s) in Statistics, Social Sciences, Public Policy, Development Studies, Economics, Data Analysis or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in data analysis, research, assessments or evidence generation for vulnerable populations, adolescents or social protection programmes.
• Previous experience working with government institutions, NGOs, UN agencies or international organisations is an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with statistical and data‑analysis software such as Excel, SPSS, STATA and Power BI.
• Strong analytical, report‑writing and presentation abilities.
• Experience delivering trainings and capacity‑building activities.
