MEAL Manager – Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning

About the role

SEED is seeking a MEAL Manager to lead its Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning functions across programs in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Reporting to the President, the role ensures robust data systems, high‑quality evidence and continuous improvement of services for vulnerable communities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously strengthen SEED’s MEAL systems, data management and information platforms (including CommCare).
• Oversee data collection, quality assurance and performance monitoring for all programmes.
• Lead evaluation studies, impact assessments and translate findings into strategic insights, donor reports and communications.
• Ensure accountability and safeguarding standards are embedded in programme delivery.
• Build capacity of staff on MEAL tools, methodologies and data use.
• Represent SEED in external engagements, donor communications and learning events.

Required profile

• University degree in social sciences, international development, statistics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in MEAL or monitoring & evaluation within NGOs or humanitarian organisations.
• Proven experience managing MEAL teams and delivering evidence‑based reporting.
• Strong understanding of accountability, safeguarding and participatory feedback mechanisms.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CommCare data collection platform.
