Learning & Development (L&D) Coordinator

About the role

The L&D Coordinator supports the HR department in identifying training needs, coordinating learning initiatives and implementing employee development programmes to improve workforce skills, performance and professional growth. The position is based in Baghdad, Iraq.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the planning, scheduling and delivery of employee training programmes.
• Work with department heads to identify training needs and develop training plans.
• Liaise with internal trainers, external training providers and employees to ensure effective delivery.
• Maintain training records, attendance sheets, employee development plans and evaluation reports.
• Collect feedback and evaluate training effectiveness to identify improvements.
• Assist in monitoring training budgets and preparing L&D reports.
• Support employee onboarding and induction programmes.
• Ensure training activities align with company policies and HR objectives.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience, including hands-on L&D experience.
• Previous experience in an L&D, HR or training coordination role.
• Good understanding of training needs analysis, training coordination and employee development.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English is mandatory.
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Training planning and coordination, stakeholder management, organization and attention to detail.
