Laboratory Technician

About the role

The Laboratory Technician will join Hawal Al Ardh’s quality assurance team in Baghdad, supporting the production of ACDelco‑branded engine oils and lubricants. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on routine testing, data recording, and ensuring that every batch meets internal specifications and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment used for oil and lubricant analysis.
• Prepare samples, conduct tests, and record results in laboratory information systems.
• Interpret test data, identify deviations, and assist in troubleshooting production quality issues.
• Document findings and generate reports for internal quality control and ACDelco compliance.
• Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and engineering teams to maintain consistent product performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory methods, safety practices, and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related scientific field.
• Solid experience in quality control and laboratory testing, preferably in lubricants, petrochemicals, or automotive fluids.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting test data and supporting problem‑solving.
• Knowledge of international quality standards and laboratory safety regulations.
• Ability to work on‑site in an industrial environment and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
