About the role
Bank of Baghdad is seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer to support, maintain, and monitor its critical IT systems, including servers, storage, networks, and data‑center operations.
Key responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot physical and virtual servers (VMware, Hyper‑V, KVM).
- Administer Windows Server and Linux OS, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
- Monitor server performance, infrastructure health and enterprise storage using tools such as Zabbix.
- Perform backup, recovery, disaster‑recovery and high‑availability activities.
- Support infrastructure upgrades, migrations and IT projects, and provide second‑level technical support.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in IT infrastructure or system administration.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
- Good communication, teamwork and documentation skills.
Required skills
- Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
- Virtualization technologies: VMware, Hyper‑V, KVM.
- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy.
- Server hardware, RAID configurations and storage technologies.
- Networking concepts: TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls.
- Enterprise backup and disaster‑recovery solutions.
- Monitoring tools such as Zabbix.
