Human Resources Officer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Human Resources Officer to join Al Safi Group’s headquarters in Baghdad. The role will support day‑to‑day HR operations, ensuring accurate employee records and smooth administrative processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and organize employee personnel files, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Manage HR documentation such as contracts, letters, warnings, and employee records.
• Monitor attendance, leaves, overtime, and time‑keeping, coordinating with managers to resolve issues.
• Handle employee relations inquiries and assist in resolving workplace concerns per company policies.
• Support recruitment by screening CVs, scheduling interviews, coordinating with hiring managers, and assisting onboarding.
• Conduct new‑employee onboarding and ensure all required documentation is completed.
• Respond to employee inquiries via phone, email, and internal channels.
• Assist in implementing HR policies, procedures, and internal regulations.
• Coordinate employee confirmations, transfers, resignations, and related documentation.
• Prepare HR reports on attendance, recruitment, employee records, and HR metrics.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee information and support HR projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (mandatory).
• 1–3 years of experience in Human Resources or HR administration.
• Knowledge of HR policies, employee relations, and personnel administration.
• Experience in attendance management and employee record keeping.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with HRIS or ERP systems (advantage).
