Head of Trading Services

About the role

ZainCash is launching a regulated investment service for Iraqi retail investors and seeks a senior leader to own the end‑to‑end trading business, including team, compliance, technology partners, customer experience and commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and grow the trading services team across equity, fixed income, operations and customer care, setting objectives and building succession plans.
• Own regulatory compliance with the Iraqi Securities Commission, including licensing, reporting, AML/KYC and client‑asset safeguarding.
• Define product roadmap for equity and fixed‑income services, set pricing and fee structures, and oversee order handling, settlement and reconciliations.
• Manage technology and infrastructure providers, negotiate contracts and monitor service‑level agreements.
• Partner with marketing to drive awareness among young Iraqi investors and own customer‑care standards, complaints handling and satisfaction metrics.
• Prepare regular performance, risk and compliance reports for the executive team and board.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of experience in financial services, with 5+ years in a senior securities brokerage or trading role.
• Proven track record building and launching financial products from concept through regulatory approval to go‑live.
• Experience leading teams of 20+ across multiple functions and managing technology outsourcing providers.
• Strong knowledge of securities regulation, licensing, AML/KYC and client‑asset protection.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
