General Accountant

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Process and record company expenses, including monthly depreciation of fixed assets, prepaid expenses and adjusting journal entries.
• Monitor tax obligations, maintain accurate records for tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws.
• Deposit cash, create daily cash transaction reports and manage cash collections from receivable accounts.
• Process payments on an accrual basis, handle staff reimbursements and support the Senior Accountant with budget review and analysis.
• Manage cash receipts, record revenues and receivables, and reconcile them with sales data.
• Perform daily archiving of financial documents and ensure day‑to‑day transaction processing is up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and familiarity with financial statements.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
