Fire Systems Supervisor

About the role

The Fire Systems Supervisor will oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm and suppression systems across one of Amentum’s sites in Iraq, supporting the U.S. Department of State’s Operations and Maintenance Support Services contract.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe workplace and ensure compliance with Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance standards.
• Inspect, test, maintain, and repair installed fire alarm detection and suppression systems in line with manufacturer specifications and NFPA standards.
• Service Ansul hood suppression systems, fire extinguishers, fire mains, hydrants, and related exterior and interior indicating devices (audio speakers, strobes, bells, pull stations).
• Provide documentation and information to EHS and QA divisions as required.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by the O&M Manager.

Required profile

• Minimum three (3) years’ experience as a Journeyman Fire Alarm System Mechanic.
• At least one (1) year experience working with NFPA standards.
• High school diploma or GED.
• NICET Level 2 certification and a valid driver’s license.
• Existing U.S. Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one.

Required skills

• NICET Level 2 certification.
• Knowledge of NFPA fire alarm and suppression standards.
• Proficiency in inspecting, testing, and repairing fire alarm and suppression equipment.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
